OUR STORY

Some brands begin with a product. Sodhana began with a question.

If we wouldn't consume it ourselves, why would we ask you to?

Sodhana began with a simple belief: when something becomes part of your daily routine, trust cannot be an afterthought. It has to begin at the source.

WHY SODHANA EXISTS

Shilajit was never the problem. Knowing what to trust was.

Shilajit has been part of traditional wellness practices for generations. Yet today, the same word can describe products that differ enormously in where they come from, how they are processed and what ultimately reaches the consumer.

Claims like pure, premium and authentic were everywhere. But the answers to more important questions were often harder to find.

How do you know what is actually inside the jar?
Where was it sourced?
How was the raw material selected?
How was it purified?
How was it handled?
Was the finished resin actually tested?
Those questions became the starting point for Sodhana.
THE NAME

The philosophy was already there. We gave it a name.

In traditional knowledge, Sodhana speaks to the idea of purification and refinement — the careful preparation of a substance for its intended purpose.

Because Shilajit does not simply travel from a Himalayan rock into a jar. Between those two points lies the part we consider most important: the process.

We didn't choose Sodhana simply because it sounded right. We chose it because it describes what we believe in.

OUR HOME

For the world, the Himalayas are a destination. For us, they are home.

Sodhana is a Nepal-born brand.

The mountains that have shaped Nepal's landscape, culture and traditions are also where the story of our Shilajit begins.

That proximity carries a responsibility. We don't want Nepal to simply be a beautiful Himalayan image on our packaging. We want our connection to this place to be reflected in how seriously we treat its raw materials, knowledge and provenance.

The resin format.
The patience of preparation.
The respect for the raw material.
The belief that what nature provides should be carefully refined rather than carelessly processed.
ANCIENT WISDOM

Not everything old needs to be reinvented.

Long before modern wellness became an industry, Shilajit was understood, prepared and used within traditional systems of knowledge.

We respect that inheritance. The traditional understanding of Sodhana — purification before use — remains fundamental to the way we think about Shilajit.

MODERN WIDSOM

Respecting tradition doesn't mean rejecting progress.

The people who developed traditional purification practices worked with the best understanding and tools available to them. Today, we have more.

We believe using these tools doesn't diminish tradition. It helps us protect what tradition was trying to achieve in the first place: purity.

WHAT SODHANA STANDS FOR

Premium isn't what we call it. It's what we're willing to do differently.

For us, premium is not gold lettering on a jar. It means being more selective when selection matters. Being patient when a process takes time. Testing rather than assuming. Sharing information rather than hiding behind marketing language. And being willing to reject something that doesn't meet the standard we set for ourselves.

01

Source with intention

Quality begins before purification. We take the origin and selection of our raw material seriously.

02

Purify with patience

The purpose isn't to make Shilajit faster. It is to prepare it carefully.

03

Verify with evidence

Where quality can be measured, we believe it should be measured.

04

Communicate with transparency

We would rather explain what we know than make promises we cannot prove.

Sodhana process
FROM BELIEF TO PRACTICE

A philosophy only matters if you follow it.

Our standards eventually have to show up in the resin itself. That's why the Sodhana journey doesn't end with sourcing.

The raw material moves through a deliberate process of extraction, purification, filtration, refinement, quality verification and packaging before it becomes the product you hold in your hands.

01 From the mountains we source.
02 Through the process we follow.
03 To the resin we stand behind.
TRUST SHOULD BE VISIBLE

You shouldn't have to believe us simply because we say so.

There is a limit to what beautiful packaging and good storytelling can prove. That's where evidence matters.

Sodhana's finished product is subjected to defined quality testing, and wherever possible, we want the information behind those standards to be accessible to the people consuming it.

Transparency isn't about telling you that we're trustworthy. It's about giving you enough information to decide for yourself.
OUR PROMISE

We don't need Shilajit to sound miraculous for it to matter.

The wellness industry often rewards bigger promises. That's not the conversation we want Sodhana to lead with.

We would rather help you understand what Shilajit is, where ours comes from, how we prepare it and what we can verify about it. And where science or evidence does not justify a claim, we would rather not make it.

More energy. More strength. More vitality. More claims.
Trust is worth more than a headline.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

We are building more than a Shilajit brand.

Sodhana began with Shilajit because it represents everything we believe about traditional wellness: powerful natural materials, generations of knowledge, and a need for greater transparency in how those traditions reach the modern consumer.

Our ambition is to continue exploring that intersection responsibly.

Would we trust this enough to use it ourselves? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't belong under the Sodhana name.
Ancient knowledge.
Thoughtful refinement.
Modern standards.
